Waves x Ethereal Blocks: A Web 3.0 Toolkit

There are only a few days left in the Ethereal Blocks hackathon, and we’re still hustling to get more opportunities for your hacking pleasure. Over the past week and a half, we’ve seen tremendous activity in Discord and online; kudos to you all.

To celebrate the last stretch of the hackathon, and to remind you all of the final proceedings as we inch closer to submission, we’re dropping this post announcing a brand new sponsor. Waves Platform, joining us for the tail end of the hackathon, has $3k of prizes up for grabs. Let’s take a look.

Waves Platform is an open blockchain and development toolkit for Web 3.0 applications and decentralized solutions. Waves is designed for companies and developers who want to leverage security, auditability, verifiability, and the trustless execution of transactions and programming logic.

Launched in 2016 by Sasha Ivanov and a core development team, Waves has since released numerous successful blockchain-based solutions and has steadily developed into a rich and constantly-growing technological platform. Waves’ technology is designed to address the needs of developers and companies that want to leverage the properties of blockchain systems – including their security, auditability, verifiability and the trustless execution of transactions and business logic.

Waves is joining a prickle of other top tier projects with Ethereal Blocks: we’re excited to see what the Gitcoin community can bring to their invitation to build, improve, and extend their platform in the final days.

Waves’ main invitation is to create an effective solution with tokenization mechanism for the Sharing Economy: to make a decentralized rental, exchange or booking platform using the Waves blockchain. Take a look at the requirements and get started here. Over $12,000 is up for grabs.

Get started today — the deadline to submit is September 11th at 11:59pm EST.
