**ChainID Network** is a project to maintain information about all of the EVM / Ethereum client networks.
The Chain ID and Network ID in particular are needed by middleware such as wallet providers to be able to connect to the right mainnet and/or testnet of specific chains.
Pedro, Ligi, and Boris are co-maintainers of the repo https://github.com/ethereum-lists/chains. The issue queue / PRs are used to have changes submitted and approved.
A public website is generated at https://chainid.network/ which includes a browseable list of chains that have submitted their info, as well as `chains.json` file suitable for use by apps as a data source.
EIP-155 https://eips.ethereum.org/EIPS/eip-155 was an original list of info, which we are proposing to amend and/or publish an additional Informational EIP that links to ChainID.
This grant is to support this project and ongoing upkeep and maintenance, as well as continuing to add more info per chain.
