Organizations online became dependent on those websites to maintain, manage, moderate and govern them.\n\nThis dependency becomes expensive in the long run, as third parties services get more and more expensive. This dependency is also an issue for political organizations or organizations in countries with strong Internet censorship.\n\nDwebsites (Decentralized websites) offer a solution to those issues. Dwebsites are independent of third parties, allowing organizations to maintain and govern their platforms themselves. Dwebsites are censorship-resistance, robust and private.\n\nThe goal of Almonit project is developing Dwebsites technology and tools, increasing its adoption and usage as an alternative to current websites.\n\n"},{"attributes":{"bold":true},"insert":"What Almonit does"},{"attributes":{"header":1},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"Almonit is a gateway to Dwebsites. Our technology allow people to access, search and build Dwebsites. Those websites relay on existing protocols, such as Inter-Planetary File System (IPFS) and Ethereum Name Service (ENS).\n\nWhat are Dwebsites? Traditional websites use a server and a name service (DNS) to be accessible. Dwebsites replace the server with decentralized storage (e.g., IPFS, Swarm, Sia) and the DNS with decentralized naming service (e.g., ENS, Unstoppable Domains, Namecoin). The resulting Dwebsites are censorship-resistance, robust and private.\n\nDwebsites also allow communities to create their own online platform, without using any third party and without putting trust in any of its members. It is a perfect solution for modern internet organizations.\n\nWe care about users privacy. Our technology lets users keep their privacy. There are no intermediaries or third parties involved in the process of using decentralized websites, all actions can be done in communication with only the decentralized storage and decentralized name service networks.\n\n"},{"attributes":{"bold":true},"insert":"Almonit vision"},{"attributes":{"header":1},"insert":"\n"},{"insert":"Almonit vision is for Dwebsites to become a popular alternative for the current website model.
