What is RSK?

Hackathon Theme
Bitcoin set the foundation to create the financial system of the future. RSK extended Bitcoin capabilities by making it fully programmable through smart contracts and provided greater scalability. Built on top of RSK, RIF aims to create the building blocks to construct a fully decentralized internet.
RIF, built on RSK, aims to add the identity, storage, communications, marketplaces, micro-payments, and gateways layers to allow the creation of Decentralized Sharing Economies to protect the rights of the individual and users.
The future of finance and the Internet is decentralized and Bitcoin is the most secure and adopted blockchain ecosystem to bring them to life.
Join us at this hackathon to help us develop the next generation of Bitcoin solutions to create a new financial system more fair and inclusive, and a new economy where collaborative marketplaces flourish enabling individuals to interact on a peer-to-peer basis coordinated by immutable smart contracts.
Gitcoin Integration
We are excited to announce that Gitcoin has been fully integrated with RSK! Anyone can now post bounties and grants in RBTC, DOC, and RDOC. We will soon be adding support for additional tokens RIF, SOV, and possibly more in the future! Use the Nifty wallet to interact with Gitcoin using RSK.
