As a coder, there are numerous ways you can use and get involved with Gitcoin. Our mission is to grow OSS, and since 96% of projects use open source in some way, your organization would likely benefit from this vision. Opportunities to get involved ------------------ Gitcoin offers six main [products](https://gitcoin.co/products), listed below, alongside other great features such as a community around [Gitcoin Chat](https://gitcoin.co/chat) where you can interact with other coders and BUIDL meaningful relationships and projects! ### 1. Bounties As a contributor, you can search through open bounties using Gitcoin's [Issue Explorer](https://gitcoin.co/explorer), the easiest way to find paid work in open source. These issues may involve fixing bugs, developing new features, or resolving security issues, so once you have selected an open issue, you can work on a project, collaborate, build your skills, and contribute towards the open-source projects. Payments are Ethereum-based, & automatically released after code is accepted by the bounty submitter. Head over to Gitcoin bounties to get started! ### 2. Hackathons Hackathons are another great way to contribute to OSS and grow the blockchain community. Similar to bounties, you can [explore open hackathons](https://gitcoin.co/hackathon-list/), join chat workspaces, start work, and enter a prize draw for cryptocurrency payment. See the [hackathons wiki page](https://gitcoin.co/wiki/get_started/get-started-hackathon/) for more detail. ### 3. Grants Grants offer you the opportunity to get substantial, sustainable funding for your projects. Gitcoin Grants provides matching funds + monthly subscription for your favorite OSS maintainers, media outlets, etc. and has already facilitated the distribution of $1.4m to community public goods since it was launched in January 2019.
