Today we have a special announcement for the Gitcoin community. As part of our new onboarding flows (for both funders and contributors), we are now giving users the ability to create a personal avatar to be associated with your Gitcoin account!
Gitcoin avatars aim to give you a unique identity on the Gitcoin platform and the onboarding flow generally allows you to personalize your profile based on your interests, projects, and skillsets.
The coolest part of Gitcoin avatars is the Avatar Builder interface. Here, you’ll be able to create your own avatar from scratch and make it the best representation of you on the Gitcoin platform. The Avatar Builder gives you various customization options such as clothing, hairstyle, accessories, and much more.
The Gitcoin Avatar builder is live on the platform. We invite all Gitcoiners, new and old, to give it a try!
Current Gitcoiners: First, click on your username in the upper right hand corner of the Gitcoin app. Next, click on “Build Avatar.” You’ll be good to go from there.
Alternatively, here’s a quick link which will get you straight to Avatar Builder.
New Gitcoiners: During the Gitcoin account creation process, you will be prompted to create your avatar before completing setup. Easy peasy!
