We’re excited to announce The Uniswap-Arbitrum Grant Program (UAGP), which will run from Nov 8th - 2023 to May 9th 2024 on Gitcoin Grants Stack.
The decision to host the program on Gitcoin Grant Stack comes after careful consideration and evaluation of how well its features align with the UAGP’s principles of openness and efficiency. Grants Stack is a decentralized, smart contract-enabled solution that enables any community to easily create, manage and grow a grants program. From the initial setup to the final distribution of funds, Grants Stack helps streamline the complexities of grants program management so we can optimize UAGP’s operational framework and enhance its impact within the Uniswap and Arbitrum ecosystems.
Through using Grants Stack, UAGP will become a part of the vibrant Gitcoin ecosystem, which is already teeming with projects and protocols unified by the principles of open cooperation, community governance, and reciprocal support. Gitcoin and UAGP both operate with the belief that a community's collective power can spur innovation and progress. Thus, in addition to utilizing cutting-edge grant management technology as a result of this partnership, the UAGP joins a large network committed to advancing the values needed for a more decentralized future.
For the reasons outlined above, we’re excited to move forward with this partnership between Gitcoin and UAGP to champion the continued funding of public goods.
The Uniswap-Arbitrum Grant Program (UAGP) is a 6-month initiative that provides grants from $50,000 to $250,000 in ARB tokens to developers building within the Uniswap-Arbitrum ecosystem. With 1.1 million ARB tokens available, the goal is to accelerate adoption and highlight the expansive opportunities that emerge from Uniswap on Arbitrum.

These RFPs aim to strategically align granted projects with the ecosystems' goals, driving progress and innovation in there areas where it’s need the most.
Arbitrum is one of the most well known of Ethereum’s leading scaling solutions, bringing fast, affordable transactions while maintaining security. With the deployment of Uniswap on Arbitrum, this represents a crucial step toward scaling. Now, the UAGP will further this mission by funding protocols that enhance the liquidity, usability, and composability of Uniswap on Arbitrum.

UAGP is powered by the new Direct Grants function on Gitcoin Grants Stack. Grants Stack is a decentralized, protocol-enabled solution that enables any community to easily create, manage and grow a grants program. This will be Arbitrum’s third round on Grants Stack, after the Domain Round and the Arbitrum on Gitcoin Grant Funding Fest, and Uniswap’s first round on the platform.
