Embark is a fast, simple and powerful framework to develop and deploy Decentralized Applications (DApps).
Embark currently integrates with EVM blockchains (Ethereum), Decentralized Storages (IPFS), and Decentralized communication platforms (Whisper and Orbit).
As a dApp, Gitcoin is excited for the future Embark represents for the Ethereum ecosystem. By making it easier to interact with all facets of the Web 3 stack, we can work towards building a future which provides more security and consistency.
We’re equally excited for the opportunity to help build the Embark framework via Gitcoin. We’ll be posting 60 bounties on the development of the Embark framework through September and October!These will be easily found on our Issue Explorer, which contains a range of issues to tackle across open source projects.
We’re hopeful that the Gitcoin community is as interested in building this framework as we are; it’s a key part of our shared ability to build Web 3.
Furthermore, Status’s willingness to build Embark with us means a great deal. We have great respect for the work they’ve done in the Ethereum bounties space with Status Open Bounty, and it means a lot that they see Gitcoin as a community where they can pass the torch for us to continue the mission to create an equitable future of open source work.
We’re impressed with the ability from the Status team like Andy Tudhope and Jarrad Hope — they have a rare combination of big-picture thinking (drawing from wide-ranging subjects including language) and focused execution. The Embark project is another feather in their cap, and we’re excited to contribute.
