First ever Hypercerts Ecosystem Round

The Hypercerts Foundation and Community conducted their inaugural community round on Gitcoin during GG20.

The Hypercerts Ecosystem

The Hypercerts Foundation aims to "advance the development and adoption of open-source protocols for funding and rewarding positive impact." This ecosystem round supported projects building on hypercerts primitives, intending to transform "isolated platforms into interconnected, dynamic funding networks."

Types of Projects in the Hypercerts Ecosystem

Support focused on five categories:

1. New Applications: Projects developing new applications using hypercerts infrastructure
2. Integrations: Projects integrating hypercerts into existing funding platforms
3. Tooling: Projects building tools extending functionality across integrations
4. Pilot Use Cases: Tangible implementations of new functionalities
5. Community Support (DevRel): Technical expertise providers

Applications received exceeded expectations:

• Rejected: 12 projects

Initial projections targeted 10-15 projects; the higher volume spread matching funds thinner than anticipated, warranting future criteria reconsideration.
